A signed example of this scarce local legal history, issued in a small edition. Wilcox, a Port Chester attorney and legal writer, compiled here a detailed biographical register of the bar of Rye Township-embracing Mamaroneck, Port Chester, and Rye-from the colonial period through the early twentieth century. The work preserves a substantial body of professional and genealogical detail not readily recoverable from standard sources, and remains an important reference for the legal and civic history of Westchester County. Signed limited edition No. 159 of 250 copies (illustrator).

Wilcox, a Port Chester attorney and local legal historian, here assembles a detailed prosopography of the bar of Rye Township-encompassing Mamaroneck, Port Chester, and Rye-from the seventeenth century through the early twentieth. $65. As both a reference and a work of local legal historiography, the volume preserves a substantial body of biographical and institutional detail not readily recoverable from other sources, documenting the formation of the Westchester bar and its role in the civic life of the region.
