Fourth Edition. An impressive compilation of right wing propaganda and alternative health news sourced from a variety of publications and periodicals and presumably assembled by Health Research founder R. G. Wellborn. Although overarchingly anti-Communist, there are many digressions into the related areas of racial segregation, water flouridation, vaccine hesitancy, banking and financial conspiracies, internationalism, the perils of conventional medicine, etc. The content is a mix of photostat documents and mimeographed sheets from typescript. The documents include an SPX report, "The Supreme Court: An Instrument of Communist Global Conquest" (SPX was an abbreviation for Soviet Principle Ten and was an intelligence organization founded by retired Air Force Col., Tom R. Hutton); an article titled, "The Plot to Suppress a Cure for Cancer"; Vol. 1, No. 1 of Willis E. Stone's "Fact Sheet"; "A Comprehensive Index to the Federal Government's Corporate Activities"; "How the Present Members of the U.S. Supreme Court Voted on Issues Involving Communism; numerous articles from the South Hayward News and the Congressional Record. Sources frequently cited include Willis Carto's "Right" newsletter, the Dan Smoot Report, Billy James Hargis' Christian Crusade, G.L.K. Smith's various publications, Morris Bealle's American Capsule News, the South Hayward News, Congressional Record, etc. Peppered throughout are adverts for other Health Research titles. A truly disjointed, conspiratorial and fascinating assemblage of topics and concerns troubling the American right wing during the 1950s and 60s. 4to.; shoelace-bound card stock, [4], 282, [24] pp., illus. Faint notation to the bottom edge of the cover sheet, else a near fine copy. Only seven copies of any edition in OCLC.…
