The covers have little wear but do have light bumping at the corners and a light fading on the outerspine area. The spine is tight. The pages are white with little wear and no marks except a line across the top edges of some pages. The book is illustrated with 47 black and white photos that are quite helpful. 6 chapters cover many horse interests: the appropriate horse, breeds and types, horse breeding, horse training, feeding the horse, and to horse.
