At the time, the act was considered out of proportion to the activitie…s of the protesters. There followed a number of complaints to the Federal Government, and an inquiry (for which we Canadians are famous). The issues, as they evolved, were."the role of police in a democratic society, public accountability, and the effects of globalization on rights and politics." (jacket blurb). I don't think there is a better example of the difference in handling these issues between this country and the United States, particularly under the dictatorship of Trump. This copy is in near fine condition.
