Title printed at the bottom of the image. Imprint of Wesley Andrews, a monogram with an "A" embedded in a "W," is in the lower-right corner of the image. "DOPS" stamp box printed on the back…was used from 1925-1942. Postcard is unused. Postcard is virtually pristine and intact except for slight corner and edge wear and slight age toning on the back. A Near Fine copy. This postcard shows a bull moose in a bucolic landscape with water in the foreground and tall grass and trees in the middle- and background. Wesley Andrews (1875-1950) was a Canadian-American photographer who moved from Ontario to Baker, Oregon to set up his first photography studio. He later moved to Portland during the 1920s to continue his work in photography.

Twelve miniature real photo postcards, each measuring 2 11/16 x 1 11/16 inches in a box measuring 2 7/8 x 1 7/8 inches. Box has small creases at the back flaps; else c…lean, unmarked, very good condition. No edge wear or scratches on photos; all have a bit of a bend due to the way the box was stored, but this could easily be corrected by placing them under weight. Very good condition. A lovely set of photographs of Juneau, Alaska in the early 1900s. Of special interest are the glacier photographs - a stark difference between then and now! A fun and unique item. Charles Wesley Andrews (1875-1950) was one of the Pacific Northwest's pioneering photographers. In 1904 he moved from Ontario, Canada to Baker City, Oregon, and opened his photography studio, Wesley Andrew Inc. In 1929, he moved to Portland and continued his photography business until his retirement in 1940. Scarce; no copies found in OCLC or commerce as of January 2024, though there were plenty of other photographs and miniature photo sets by Wesley Andrews Inc.
