A concise trade catalogue featuring eighteen silverware designs by the Danish silverware company, Georg Jensen & Wendel A/S. Principally black-and-white illustrations. Eighteen example silverware designs are featured in black-and-white photographic illustrations. Nearly all of the illustrations show a set of three utensils, a fork, knife, and spoon, with the featured design. For example, "Nr. 22 Sgamonstret (Scroll Design)" shows a fork, knife, and spoon with a scrollwork design on the handles. The only text besides the captions accompanying the illustrations is a bilingual (Danish and English) promotional paragraph for Georg Jensen silverware and different options available. Georg Jensen A/S was founded by Danish artist and silversmith Georg Jensen (1866-1935). Jensen received an education in both the fine arts and applied arts. He was initially a ceramicist and his work was well-received, but he found it difficult to make a living as a fine artist. Jensen then turned to the applied arts and began his career as a jewelry artist and silversmith. This led to him founding his silversmithy, George Jensen A/S, in 1904. Jensen's background in both the fine arts and applied arts contributed to his creation of unique silverware with Art Nouveau design elements. Jensen's silverware and their iconic Art Nouveau designs proved to be a success with the public. Amid financial difficulties and a shortage of silver brought on by World War I, Jensen ceded much of his company's ownership to one of his clients, entrepreneur Peder Anders Pedersen (1869-1937). However, Jensen retained creative leadership in the company until his passing in 1935. Georg Jensen A/S is still active to this day and is currently owned by Fiskars who acquired the company in 2023. The following are the designs featured in this catalogue: Nr. 1 Liljekonvalmonstret (Rose Design), Nr. 4 Antikmonstret (Continental Design), Nr. 6 Nordisk Monster (Viking Design), Nr. 7 Kuglemonstret (Beaded Design), Nr. 9 Bernadottemonstret (Bernadotte Design), Nr. 15 Pyramidemonstret (Pyramid Design), Nr. 22 Sagamonstret (Scroll Design), Nr. 25 Reliefmonstret (Relief Design), Nr. 30 Kaktusmonstret (Cactus Design), Nr. 46 Blokmonstret (Block Design), Nr. 56 Runemonstret (Chess Design), Nr. 62 Kongemosntret (Acorn Design), Nr. 76 Ladbymonstret (Norse Design), Nr 79 Pinjemonstret (Pine Design), Nr. 84 Magnoliamonstret (Blossom Design), Nr. 99 Cypressmonstret (Cypress Design), Nr. 100 Dobbeltriplet Monster (Old Danish), and Nr. 180 Dronningemonstret (Acanthus Design).…

Medium octavo, original orange wrappers, illustrated with equations and graphs. In very good condition. Accompanied by a typed list of errata printed circa publication. The twentieth volume in 'Annals of Mathematics Studies,' 'Contributions to the Theory of Nonlinear Oscillations' made important contributions to the theories of games and of nonlinear differential equations in mathematics and mechanics. Russian-American mathematician Solomon Lefschetz compiled the essays in the book as a scholar completely devoted to research in nonlinear differential equations.…
