"All other text--actual dictionary entries fitting alphabetically in the correct order--is blind stamped; the blind-stamped defined word appears clearly, but the definition is overprinted three times.to make the entries essentially illegible" (Berger p. 81).

With a postcard prospectus laid in. Slesinger's poems are in the form of dictionary definitions. Berger, Printing and the Mind of Merker, 81: "This is a funny book. It didn't turn out very well. It was a bad experiment and it could have been a good one . I received two letters from librarians in different parts of the country who said essentially the same thing: 'Our copies seem not to have been inked in various places. We cannot understand why that should be, but could you send us copies that are completely inked?'".
