Covers athletic training in general, with specific advice for baseball, track & field, basketball, and football; Warner was a champion athlete at Cornell in the 1890s and became an important early football coach & innovator, still remembered in the youth sports organization named for him. Hardcover, as pictured; the stated eighth printing, 1945; first published in this form in three years earlier, but originally in 1934. Book shows general wear, minor scuffing, light fading to spine, crease to front endsheet, minor foxing/spotting to top edge; no jacket, though it is in a plain clear plastic cover. Text clean, no names or marks, pages bright; 326 pages; b/w photos, figures, a poem. Size: Octavo.
