Originally issued in the late 1930s and widely used in American classrooms, this volume presents a narrative of U.S. development from exploration through modern industrial society, reflecting the historical perspective of the World War II era. Features numerous period illustrations, maps, and historical images throughout, with a particularly striking pictorial cover depicting early American agricultural and industrial life. Condition is Very Good-: moderate edge and spine wear, clean interior with light age toning, and no dust jacket. Binding remains solid and fully readable. An appealing example of mid-century Americana, combining historical content with strong decorative presence.
