Loosely based on the 1956 novel by Grace Metalious, and preceded by the 1957 film, directed by Mark Robson, and starring Lana Turner and Hope Lang, and the 1961 film, "Return to Peyton Place," directed by José Ferrer, and starring Carol Lynley and Tuesday Weld. The popular series was the birth of the prime time American soap opera and aired for 514 episodes. Sandy suspects that Lee may be guilty of Ann's murder. 8.5 x 11 inches. Near Fine.

"Lock Up" was a short-lived legal drama series focusing on the cases of renowned Philadelphia corporate attorney Herbert L. Maris. In this episode, an oil millionaire suspects his business partn…er of murdering a woman. Screenwriter Robert Bloch is best known for penning Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" (1959), although his six-decade writing career encompassed novels, short stories, radio, cinema, and television. A protégé of H.P. Lovecraft, Bloch received the Hugo Award, the Bram Stoker Award, and the World Fantasy Award, and served as the president of the Mystery Writers of America in 1970. Orange titled wrappers, dated 14 December 1959 on the front wrapper, with credit for Bloch. Title integral with the front wrapper. 43 leaves, with last page of text numbered 42.
