The cloth spine is olive green. The covers are quite clean, just some tiny spots off the front bottom edge. There is a small scuff below the front top c…orner. Depending on how the light hits the covers you will or won't see these many tiny colorless lines on the front and rear. They almost look like an intentional design, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case. To me it seems like an irrelevancy, but I'm selling not buying the book, so I'll let you decide. There are also one or two thin white scratches on the rear cover. The spine is in pretty solid shape, a few bumps. The cover edges are in solid shape, there's some light rubbing on the two bottom ones, just adjacent to the spine's bottom edge. There's also a small spot of rub-through at the rear bottom edge just adjacent to the corner. All four corners have spots of rub-through. The covers bow out slightly and the spine has a slight forward lean. More importantly, the book is solidly bound from cover to cover. There aren't any instances of a space between any the facing pages, and that's also the case at the junctures between the inside covers and their facing end papers, no spaces, no wear. The inside and their end papers form the same festive, colorful illustration. I've provided a photograph. They're perfectly clean and free of wear. The pages are in very nice condition. Some have a full-page illustration. Others have a smaller illustration surrounding or beside the music. All of the illustrations are in excellent condition, perfectly clean and free of wear. The text pages are also exceptionally clean. Scrolling through, I found only one instance of a light spot just off the top edge, not reaching the illustration below it. There is a tiny bit of crinkling just off the bottom corner of some early pages, far from the print or illustrations. I didn't find any conspicuous creasing, no turned-down corners, no placeholder creases. There are no markings in the book. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. Professor Walter Buhe (illustrator).

The front cover has a few light spots off its bottom edge. There is also a small scuff below the front top corner. And there is some wear, some rub-through at each of the four corners…, a crease as well above the rear bottom one. The spine is in nice shape, one white spot and two tiny tears at its bottom edge, a small crease as well above the bottom edge. The rear cover has a few scratches. The cover edges look quite good, a few tiny nicks, one small spot of rub-through on the rear bottom one. The page edges are very clean. The spine has a moderate forward lean off its top edge. The book is solidly bound from cover to cover. There are no cracks or spaces between any of the facing pages. The covers are tightly bound. The junctures between the illustrated inside covers and their end papers are in excellent shape. The inside covers and end papers are quite lovely. The interior of the book is in excellent condition. The pages are exceptionally clean. I looked through them carefully, found only a few tiny, inconspicuous spots. I didn't find any placeholder creases. There is a little crinkling just above some of the bottom corners, and on both sides of the junctures of the pages just off the bottom edge, not much of anything. The illustrations all look perfect. There are songs with lines of musical notes on most of the pages. They too are all in excellent condition. There are no markings in the book. No attachments of any kind. Das tiefere Verständnis findet jeder Schaffende wohl sehr selten, um so erfrischender ist es für mich, einmal aus einem mir unbekannten Winkel des Reiches von Unbekannt' einen Gruß zu erhalten [.]" (a. d. Br. v. 26. Februar). Weiters über die Zusendung von einigen seiner Arbeiten. Walter Buhe studierte an der Unterrichtsanstalt des Kunstgewerbemuseums Berlin und war hier Schüler von Emil Orlik. Vielfältig war Buhes Schaffen auf dem Gebiet der Gebrauchsgrafik [.] Er entwarf unter anderem Plakate, Prospekte, Bucheinbände, Notgeld, Briefmarken, Kalender, schuf Illustrationen und entwickelte sogar eine eigene Schrift, die Buhe-Fraktur. Hohes Können und der Facettenreichtum seines Schaffens führten zu seiner Berufung zum Professor für angewandte Grafik an der Akademie für graphische Künste in Leipzig.
