In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart with slight bumping and rubbing, leading to minor loss of cloth, tearing and fraying, most notable at the head of the spine, and a few marks to the boards. Internally, generally firmly bound, slightly weaker between pages 32 and 33 and 160 and 161. Preface pages unopened.
