Red cloth over boards with gilt stamping on front cover and spine; black and white illustrative stamping of boy on bicycle on front cover, and swords on spine. Title page not dated. Copyright page dated 1897. 334 pages. In fair condition. Cloth on spine is a bit faded, but stamping remains quite bright and handsome. Cloth fraying at head and foot of spine and corners where bumped. Front gutter is cracked through, and one or two other places in text block that have slightly cracked; binding feels a bit loose, especially that of first signature. Illustrations by W. A. Rogers throughout. A scarce title in fair reading condition.
