Throughout "the North pleasant fishing is within the reach of most people, but as the rivers available are little known this booklet has been prepared to help Northern sportsmen. At each of the Inns listed a map of fishing is available and the Landlord will give every assistance in obtaining licences and permits if he is not himself an authorised distributor. When it is possible to give notice to a landlord of a forthcoming visit, this will greatly facilitate the necessary arrangements." Trout, salmon, grayling, and lake fishing in Dumfriesshire, Roxburghshire, Berwickshire, Northumberland, County Durham, Yorkshire, Cumberland and Westmorland.
