This is the British edition, published by Thorpe and Porter from June 1950 to February 1955, in different sizes and schedules. This issue contains: a range of feature articles, a novel by Rog Philllips, "Weapon from the Stars", shorts by Roy B. Frentz and Alexander Blade, a novelet by Walt Sheldon and a novelet by Frederic Brown, "Gateway to Glory". It was launched in September 1990 to provide a market for speculative fiction writers, with a particular emphasis on raising the profile of Australian authors. The issue includes nine short stories, and five full-page b&w illustrations by the now acclaimed Western Australian author Shaun Tan, all signed "Tan, '91".
