Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 2nd Edition. THE PRINCIPLES UNDERLYING RADIO COMMUNICATION SIGNAL CORPS U.S. ARMY 1919. Herewith another of the many vintage books about early radio technology which I have been listing of late, this one titled: The Principles Underlying Radio Communications, Radio Pamphlet No. 40, December 10, 1918, by the Signal Corps, U.S. Army. This small soft cover book (5 x 7 ¼ inches, 355 pages) was published by the Government Printing Office, Washington, dated 1919 (probably meaning that this is the First Edition, given the date of the pamphlet mentioned above). The book is bound in brown simulated (or is it real) leather soft covers with once gilt titles and emblem of the Signal Corps on the cover and spine. Like most of these books about radio technology, it is well illustrated with 268 Figures including photos, diagrams and schemata. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The soft covers are darkened and worn, with some rubbing of the finish along the gutter. Its corners and spine tips are bumped and small bits of the finish worn off in some places. The gilt titles and decorations are tarnished to the point of being illegible but perhaps this can be cleaned up. Inside, there are some penciled notations on the front endpaper and an inked name of a company on the title page. The interior pages, printed on glossy stock, seem to have resisted blemishes as there is no toning or foxing and very few spots of soiling. Both hinges are intact and the binding, although canted to the right, is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.…
