First Edition (1882), with "To the / James Murray's Royal Asylum / Perth. / From the Author / Feb. 1888" on half title page. xii, 548, 44 (ads). Dark burgundy boards with beveled edges, gold gilt lettering to spine. Corners lightly worn and bumped, spine somewhat sunned though lettering is bright and very readable. All pages are nice and clean aside from the Author's inscription, and a manual "change of address" at the end of the preface.
