Cloth a litt…le pushed at spine ends and corners, slightly darkened over spines. Text block edges just a little toned. Previous owner's name, dated 1952, neatly inked at the top of the title page of each volume, else internally neat, clean and tight. A handsome three volume set. Volume one is subtitled Life in the East; Volume two, The Cotton Kingdom; and volume three, The Frontier Moves West.
