Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Stiff wraps with illustration of harpsichord and bass continuo by Guiseppe Zocchi on cover. One crease on bottom corner, else in very good shape. Pencil markings throughout, including the comment "Terrible" above one of the suggestions for performance (!). Many of these markings may be useful to prospective students or they could also be quite easily erased. With excerpts from theoretical works by Praetorius, Telemann, J. S. and C.P. Bach, Quantz and others. An important work for anyone interested in learning to realize a thoroughbass line.
