Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is a collection of political essays written in the early 17th century by Traiano Boccalini, an Italian satirist and political commentator. The essays take the form of dispatches from Mount Parnassus, the home of the muses in Greek mythology, and offer a satirical take on the political landscape of Europe at the time. Boccalini's essays are full of wit and wisdom, and provide a valuable insight into the political and social thought of his time. He offers trenchant criticism of the political machinations of the day, and advocates for a more just and equitable society. His work is a valuable contribution to the history of political thought, and offers a fascinating glimpse into the intellectual climate of early modern Europe. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
