März 1960 in Zlate Moravce (Tschechoslowakei). Studierte von 1975 bis 1979 an der Höheren Kunstgewerbeschule in Bratislava und anschließend Photographie an der Prager Filmfakultät. An dieser Hochschule kam es zur Bildung einer Schule junger Photographen, die eine neue Art inszenierter Photographie entwickelten. Charakteristisch für ihr Schaffen sind Phantastische Szenerien mit Modellen im Atelier. Sie sind gekennzeichnet von Humor, Ironie und hintergründigen Metaphern, beziehen sich aber auch oft auf mythologische Traditionen.
