Condition: Good. 1st Edition. 8vo. pp. xvi, [17]-384. 59 tinted lithographed plates (many with multiple views), with tissue guards, & 1 wood-engraved text illus. original black & gilt-stamped cloth, rebacked with most of spine mounted, endpapers preserved (some light soiling & fading of gilt on covers, corners worn, edges of frontis. & first few leaves little chipped & repaired, last leaf with browning on verso & repaired tear - no loss). First Edition of one of the most desirable books on Toronto, generously illustrated with numerous tinted lithographed plates showing the major public buildings and monuments, important residences, and leading hotels, and manufacturing and commercial establishments. The Bird's-Eye View mentioned on the title-page was published separately. Morley p. 238.
