Darkening to all edges but otherwise very clean; previous owner's book plate and dated initials to front cover; some marking to inside rear cover. A must for anyone interested in the history of this company or the history of printing in Nottingham. 6 pp. including covers.

Produced to celebrate the centenary of this prestigious Nottingham printing company. An introductory essay, titled Centenary by Frank Fuller, is followed by a chronologically arranged sequence of facsimiles of a selection of the firm's printings, including title-pages, brochures, and advertising posters from 1714 to 1948. Contains a double-page colour illustration depicting the factory, a tipped-in color frontispiece, many tipped-in half-tone plates and is printed on handmade paper. Neatly re-bound in a maroon half-cloth, retaining the original grey buckram covers with silver gilt title to upper. Lacks the dust jacket and slipcase. In clear plastic wrap-around. Clean within. A nice attractive copy. 'Near Fine'.
