Hardcover. Condition: Good+. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. First Edition; First Printing. Green cloth cover has light wear with a damp stain on back cover but bright and in good+ condition. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Faint damp stain around the margins of the front matter. Color frontispiece is unaffected on… the illustration side. Illustrated plates throughout are dampstained in the margins. Pages are lightly toned with slight ripple but free of damp staining and overall in very good condition. Rare dust jacket is tattered and chipped at extremities with transparent acid-free paper mending tape on the underside to repair a couple of tears. Back panel of the DJ is damp stained. DJ protected by a brand new, clear, acid-free mylar cover. We add mylar covers to all books with DJs to preserve the DJs and add luster to magnify their beauty. (If pictured, shown without the mylar cover for an accurate representation of dust jacket. ).

This text was first published in *The Washington Evening Star* on May 4, 1918. An interesting and uncommon piece of WWI-era ephemera; Skeyhill was also an accomplished lecturer.
