Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. First Edition First Printing. One of a lovely series of classic books for young readers illustrated by famous artists of the day, each with a colorful paper pastedown to the front board & internal art by a noted artist of the day, here, Thomas Fogarty, who contributed the endpapers, color f…rontispiece & 11 full-color, full-page plates throughout the text. A FIRST EDITION, First Printing from 1936 (with the publisher's requisite "A" & appropriate dates), this hardcover book has black cloth-covered boards with a colorful paper pastedown to front cover, unfortunately damaged by water stain in the lower corner toward fore edge.
