Brown cloth well toned and soiled; some cloth loss at frayed spine ends; boards' beveled edges worn at corners. Birmingham, Alabama artist Max Heldman's copy with his ink signature at top of front free endpaper (book acquired directly from the estate of his son Alan Wohl Heldman). Studio Book Shop, Birmingham, Alabama bookseller ticket at ffep's bottom left. Toning/foxing, soiling, and some stains to interior leaves. Binding shaken at front hinge and at book center between plates 88-89 and 104-105 with that interlaying quire slightly pulled. Only a good copy at best. LoC catalog cites their 1927 edition has only having 254 pages so evidently this second edition has some notable additions/revisions.
