It is so unusual that we hardly know how to refer to it, and trust that you may reap the firm benefit of your honorable and exceptional course ." signed Theo. W.Morris. Approx. 5 3/4" x 9" size; (with) (2) checks affixed at side edges, made to the McAnerney & Co. and to Morris Co. (with) a printed sheet dated in ms. 1878. This is a notice regarding the insolvency of John McAnerney and Henry St. George Offutt, the firm of John McAnerney & Co. and its assignment to Bentley D. Hassell for the benefit of the creditors, of which the Morris Co. was one. Witnessed by Theo. W. Morris Co. with a small red seal.
