Add to basketSoft cover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Extremely Rare. Undated but assumed First Edition (possibly 1960). The whole series of Dryad leaflets was produced between 1920 and 1980. Consists of ten cards, together with three monogram transfer sheets and Notes on the Dryad Lettering Cards, all… in a special decorated envelope. The envelope is decorated on one side with a detail from an inscription in honour of the Emperor Hadrian erected in A.D. 130 at Wroxeter, Shropshire. The ten cards are in Near Fine condition, a couple of tiny marks and slight evidence of very minor historic handling wear. The ink from one of the monogram transfer sheets has seeped faintly over time and produced very pale staining to Card no. 8, but this shadowy background staining in no way obscures the letters and numbers printed on that Card. The decorated envelope is in Very Good minus condition. There is some age related scuffing and edgewear and evidence of historic repair with tape (approx. 1.5 inches). Also a few small tears and small areas of loss (one approx. 0.5 inch on the fold-over section of the envelope). A line of age spotting along the crease where the envelope folds over. Overall though the cards are exceptionally well preserved, clean, bright and fresh, in Near Fine condition. Now Very Rare.
