Softcover. Condition: As New. Leichte Kratzer / Abnutzungen / Druckstellen. Flipje Tiel is het beroemde reclamefiguurtje dat in het leven is geroepen door de Tielse jamfabriek De Betuwe. De illustrator Eelco ten Harmsen van der Beek gaf het frambozenmannetje in 1936 zijn bekende gestalte en liet Flipje zijn eerste avonturen beleven in Kabouterland. De relatie tussen de opdrachtgever en illustrator is altijd wat gespannen geweest. De jamfabrikant bemoeide zich met de vorm en inhoud van de verhalen, steeds op hoede voor bezwaren uit reformatorische hoek. In de loop der jaren droeg Eelco Harmsen van der Beek zijn werkzaamheden over aan zijn dochter Fritzi, die na zijn dood officieel de tekenaar van Flipje werd. De samenwerking heeft niet lang geduurd. De jamfabrikant vond de tekeningen niet lieflijk genoeg, en besloot het laatste verhaal, waarin Muis op de vuist gaat met de kabouters, niet uit te brengen. De tekeningen en tekst hebben zestig jaar in een la gelegen en zullen nu voor het eerst verschijnen.
