Not dated, but believe officially 1st Jan 1940 and most likely would have been for sale in shops from late December 1939 for Christmas. Last date in text noticed mentions September and October 1939, expeditionary force dispatched to France. Overall this is a good small, thick 2nd edition reference book of the British Army with 31 single sided colour plates & lots of black and white illustrations including 100 cap? Badges on pages 496-512, mostly written before and published at the start of the 2nd World War / WWII that started on September 1st. 1939.
