Condition: Good. 207pp. First American edition printing, in full leather, with a little bit of damp-staining to the bottom of the front cover, the first few pages, and the top 1" of the rear cover. The front cover is slightly bowed, but the backstrip gilt is legible and the book is very solid. The page edges are browning a bit, and there are a few brown spots on the pages here and there. Hardcover. Condition: Fair - Cash. *** 1896-1898 *** Dark Green/Black hardcover binding with a worn Brown Leather spine, Title done on spine in Gold lettering. Top Edge is done in gold. Corners are bumped, the spine is cracking at the hinge. Previous Library ID tag on the bottom of the Spine, there is also some white staining just above the ID tag. Front cover is completely cracked and loose, being held on by the back cover. Front inner hinge has been patched, but has come loose. Previous owners bookplate just inside front cover, with Library name stamped above it, also on the top of title page and on the inside of the back cover. Page edges are browning and unevenly cut, pages are otherwise unmarked. Stock photos may not look exactly like the book.

Spine has some white soiling, there is also a couple of black stains on the front cover at the spine. EX LIBRARY, previous library ID tag on the bottom of spine. Previous owners bookplate on the inside of front cover. There is a crack formed just inside of the title page, where you can see the thread holding the pages to the binding. Library name stamped on the inside of front cover and on the bottom of Title page, there is a set of numbers written in pen '45645'. The title pages and Ads from the volumes can be found in the back of the book. Page edges are browning and cut uneven, pages are unmarked. Stock photos may not look exactly like the book.
