The volume contains selected poems by Dobell together with an introductory memoir by Mrs Dobell. Dobell was one of the more individual voices of mid-Victorian poetry and is associated with the so-called Spasmodic school. This compact edition is particularly attractive in its original publisher's dark green cloth, with elaborate gilt floral decoration and gilt lettering to the spine. Condition Very Good for age. Original dark green cloth binding with bright gilt decoration and lettering to spine. Light rubbing and minor wear to extremities, but the binding remains attractive and well preserved. Top edge appears gilt. Internally generally clean with some age-toning and occasional light foxing. Binding firm. No dust jacket, as issued. Please refer to photographs for precise condition.…
