Stories from Browning, an intriguing work retelling Robert Browning's poems as chidlren's stories, written by Verney Cameron Turnbull. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth. Contains a colour frontispiece, and all eleven other colour illustrated plates by Sybil Barnham, an illustrator at the height of its Golden Age. Collated complete. Particularly known for his veiled dramatic monologues, Robert Browning captured the imaginations of many including Turnbull who embarks on retelling Browning's poems for children to enjoy.
