Condition: Very good. Die-cut fan with reinforced cardboard handle. Measures about 8" x 11" at most extreme dimensions. In very good condition, with some creases and a tiny scuff, but no visible tears or notable stains. The fan celebrates Lindbergh and his landmark flight across the Atlantic in 1927. A poem in small type printed… on the handle is a further tribute to the aviator, who at the time was perhaps the most famous person in the world. On the verso is another printed poem, "The Tale of the Widow Jones," which appears to be an advertisement for "Edgar Brown" of Franklin, Indiana, who seems to have been a purveyor of ice for iceboxes. A nice piece of early 20th century aviation ephemera.

Condition: Near fine. First Edition (?). Engraving printed in black on white glazed cardstock; unusually thick and heavy. A tinge of dust-soiling to the outer margins, and very minor staining to the verso, but a lovely, near fine example. A wonderfully intricate and visually arresting engraving of the seventh president, containi…ng a likeness of him in glasses at the top, and full the text of Jackson's first Inaugural Address as the main text, signed by Jackson in print at the bottom. The text, in addition to the decorative border and portrait, is entirely engraved rather than typeset. A beautifully executed presidential keepsake. OCLC records two definite holdings, at AAS and Southern Methodist, while a later (1845) memorial edition is also held by AAS. The only other holdings appear to be digital-only.
