Contact seller5-star sellerHardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Original rust cloth binding, with brown-stamped titling and decoration. Previous owner's ink signature and date to the front flyleaf. Presumed to be an ex-library copy with minimal markings: evidence of a pocket removed from the rear pastedown and a faint label shadow to t…he spine heel. The unclipped dust jacket is edgeworn, with two small tape mends to the verso. Signed by Stuart Lake, his wife, Marion, and their daughter, Carolyn, on the front flyleaf. First published in 1931, this biography established the legendary, heroic image of Wyatt Earp (1848-1929), portraying him as a definitive lawman in the Old West, often working with his brothers and Doc Holliday in towns like Tombstone. Based on interviews with Earp himself before his death, the book became the basis for numerous films and TV shows, solidifying Earp's place in American folklore as a figure of law and order.
