Cloth. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+. Ishmael, Woodi (illustrator). First Edition. This SCARCE 201 pp. book is a brilliantly creative novel about Jerry-B, a lovable Kentucky mongrel, but written, as all autobiographies, in the First Person, and thus in this case, from the dog's perspective, in HIS own words. Illustrated with a few beautiful woodcuts. Genuine full page inscription and signature by the renowned Kentucky author of over 60 books, on the first blank flyleaf. Additionally, laid-in the front is a letter on Jesse Stuart / W-Hollow decorated stationary, that is genuinely signed by Jesse's brother and 2 sisters. Totally clean, although, there is a 1" horizontal tape stain inside the front board, and the same inside the rear board, where the jacket was taped to the book (albeit, at least with only one small piece of tape at the front, and one at the rear). The jacket shows relatively insignificant edge and corner wear, but otherwise the jacket presents quite well in a clear archival protector. Photos upon request. Inscribed by Author(s).
