Im hier vorliegenden Band, in englisch erschienen als Supplement der Zeitschrift Basic Research in Cardiology, werden die Vorträge eines Internationalen Sym posiums in Hamburg vom 22. bis 24. Oktober 1992 in deutscher Übersetzung zusammengefaßt. Der interdisziplinäre Charakter des Symposiums kommt in ex perimentellen und klinischen Untersuchungen zum Ausdruck. Die Herausgeber hof fen, daß das Symposium 'Angiotensin and the Heart' sich stimulierend auf die Grundlagenforschung und die Behandlung von kardiovaskulären Erkrankungen mit Hemmstoffen des Konversionsenzyms auswirkt.
