    Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Hardback. Dust Jacket. 8vo. pp 314 + 5 pp publishers ads. Vg + in vg colourful period d/w. Slight chip at rear, slight soiling but well preserved jacket showing 2 smart men standing and a young woman seated at a table, the older of the men, possibly drunk, appears to be throwing a container of yellow liquid (Whisky? / Champagne?) over her head. Novel of upper class life set in London and the Counties with underlying theme of alcoholism. Blurb says ' a book of unusual liveliness and wit which depicts both Bohemia and the 'County' with equal insight and reality.' Scarce esp in jacket.
