Some soling and light toning to text block edges; two slender stains to fore-edge with several leaves shallowly affected at margins. Light toning to endpapers; interior leaves mostly remain clean. Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Poor. Gladys McHugh (illustrator). 9" x 11-1/4", xi + 99pp + 16pp section of color transparencies printed- on folded celluloid sheets. Text printed on acidic paper and bound in signatures in black buckram boards. Title block stamped in gilt on front panel and spine, where it is age discolored and a bit dulled. This book is from the library of an optometrist and the practice's masking tape library sticker is on the spine, and its rubber stamp on the blue front end papers, the only mark in this book. Minor shelf wear, edge wear to boards. Binding is square and tight. Pages are otherwise lightly age toned but clean and unmarked. Transparencies are pristine, celluloid medium remains strong and supple, the colors vivid. NOTE that this is a larger volume, and there may be extra shipping charges on orders outside North America.
