Es handelt sich dabei um die im gleichen Jahr bei Kistner herausgebrachten Lieder Op. 13 nach Text von Keil (vgl. Ledebur S. 573). - Stegmayer, der seinerzeit…Kapellmeister in Leipzig war, hatte geachtete Positionen in Wien, Leipzig, Bremen und Berlin inne. In Wien führte er - erstmals für Österreich - Bachs Matthäuspassion auf. Schumann, in enger Verbindung mit Stegmayer bei der Gründung der "Neuen Zeitschrift für Musik", lobt diesen als "sehr routinierten Musiker, dem ich in früherer Zeit manche praktische Belehrung zu danken habe". - Seltenes Autograph.
