    First edition. 8vo. ( 223mm. ) Pp.[6], 355 [3] . Contents clean and bright. Publishers brown buckram cloth backed boards, lightly rubbed, the spine lettered directly in gilt. Armorial bookplate of [ Sir ] George John Armytage (1819-99 ) on the front pastedown, loosely tipped in are two letters in ink from Stavert to [Sir ] George. Front free endpaper with ink signature of a previous owner, and an inscription in ink - ' G. J. Armytage | from J. E Cockayne | March 1897 | . ' Pasted in on the endpaper is a letter in ink from Stavert to Mr. Cockayne. Overall a very good copy of an uncommon book. Two additional volumes were published, 1680-1771 and 1745-1812 in the years 1895 and 1896.
