Soft cover. Condition: Fair. Rare copy of this 1954 history of Barry by a former Mayor of the town, Stan Awbery, self-published by him in 1954, with a foreword by Barnett Janner MP. The booklet has 104 pages divided into sixteen chapters and is illustrated with drawings and a few full-page photographs The cover is rather grubby, with slight browning and a 1cm tear at the top of the spine. The inside covers have slight scuffing front and back where labels seem to have been removed. There are two staples, which are rusted, but the binding remains sound with no loose pages. There is a stamp on the title page but no other markings to the pages. Also a slight crease to the bottom back corner. The photos are of the actual book you will receive.
