Suzanne Roget is secretly engaged to a British captain, though they must stay apart until the political conflict is resolved and Amir returns to the throne. Specially hardbound copy, from the Cliffhangers Club collection, bound in dark brown cloth with the title and ÔA Cliffhangers Club EditionÕ stamped in silver on the front board. Used and worn copy with dampstaining to the endpapers and the bottom edges of the interior, not affecting the legibility of the text, and with some edge wear to the boards. One of the classic motion picture film serials issued in twelve chapters for the film The Fighting Devil Dogs, directed by John English and William Witney, starring Lee Powell, Bruce Bennett, Eleanor Stewart, Montagu Love, Hugh Sothern, Sam Flint, and Perry Ivins. The film tells the story of a masked villain who terrorizes the world with a powerful and mysterious weapon in his evil bid for world conquest and how he is met on the battle front by the U.S. Marine Corps.
