Hard Cover. Condition: Good. First Edition. A book for railway men and travellers, representing everyday life on the railroad, in every department of the railway service, with sketches and rhymes of romance, and numerous anecdotes and incidents. First edition. Original blue cloth, blindstamped cover, gilt stamped spine. This copy with a yellow printed slip tipped to the title page identifying this as "Editor's Copies. From A. Roman & Co. Please Notice." 343 pages with engraved illustrations in text, publisher's ads at rear. Cloth binding is quite rubbed, missing the ffep, early pencil signature dated 01. Overall good or better.
