"Under, over; under, over," they directed, each girl escorting a small child in and out among the gay bands of pink and white which streamed from the top of the pole.

Binding is firm. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Rough-cut fore edge. Boards have moderate shelf-wear, with noticeable corner bumping and some scuffing to edges. Small water stain to front board. Bottom spine end is mildly crushed, with top end having loss, slightly exposing pages beneath. Light rubbing and scuffing overall.
