The subject, b. 1830, Edgemont Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, to Joshua and Hannah Broomall Smith, married Anna Maria Pyle in 1861. Anna died in 1862, and James married Elizabeth Amanda Green in 1866, with whom he had the following children: Annie Laura, b. 1867, and James Harvey, b. 1869. James died in 1909.…
