Staplebound, original covers (self-mailer, with photo of Little Jimmie in World War II army uniform on front cover, previous owner's name and address in proper space and company's return address on rear) , 6x9 inches, 48 pp, illustrated with four photographs of the Sizemore family. Paperback, very good. Possibly signed by Little jimmie, with "Jim Sizemore" written next to his photo on front cover, names of family members written in on the interior photos, all in the same ink and handwritting as the previous owner's name and address on the mailing side. Some letters and Jim's eyes filled in on front cover, minor shelf wear, touch of foxing, partially erased pencil X's on upper corners several pages, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked. Words and music to approximately 50 songs about the joys and sorrows of rural life. Music; country; western; Appalachian.

Laid into this copy is an inscribed glossy photograph of Asher & Jimmie. In the original pictorial covers, 10.25" x 7.25" Asher and his son were natives of the Kentucky mountains when "Mother" encouraged them to start their radio career, offering listeners a "clean, entertaining and uplifting" program. Many of the songs, written by guitarist Asher, are of a regional nature, along with mountain folk songs and hymns.
