Paper. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. An Original Handwritten and Signed Letter from Sir Thomas Plumer to Major General Needham and Henry Vernon in relation to a death sentence. The letter concerns an application for William Langley as sought by the Grand Jury of Berkshire, in place of the death sentence. Monmouth 15th March 1795. Sir Thomas Plumer 1753 - 1824 was a British judge and politician, the first Vice-Chancellor of England and later Master of the Rolls. Size is 78mm x 65mm. In good condition. Ref 19048.
