Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 2nd Edition. The second impression corrected and amended; with the addition of two colloquies to the former ( Hell Broke Loose and The Old Man's Dialogue ). Apparently published during the year Roger was deprived of office as member for Winchester and imprisoned. 293 pages complete plus frontispiece of the author, two page preface to the reader and single page list of the 22 colloquies, possibly lacking the first front blank endpaper.Front hinge exposed but firm.Bound in early velvet with embossed decorated panelling. Spine faded and chippped .Gilt lettered leather title lable slightly chipped. Minor staining mainly to marbled edges.
