Dame Barbara Hepworth (1903-1975) was an English sculptor, born in Wakefield, who lived and worked in St Ives, Cornwall, from 1949. The catalogue accompanied a touring exhibition of her work organised by the Martha Jackson Gallery, New York, which opened at the Walker Art Center and travelled to other North American institutions. Read, the critic and a long-time supporter of her work, contributes the foreword. Corresponds to OCLC #4085975.
